What is Chi Alpha? Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is the Assemblies of God's missionary program for students attending secular and Christian campuses to be discipled and trained to be world changers while getting their education for the future. Through penetecostal worship, discipleship, witness, fellowship, and prayer you can attend a university or college and be involved in the student movement of Chi Alpha - and not only survive but also thrive as a student on campus! We are a movement of students earnestly following Jesus. What is Chi Alpha Like? We're focused and fun. Focused, because we have a mission that dominates everything we do: "reconciling students to Christ." Fun, because we believe in a good God who wishes us to enjoy life. What Does Chi Alpha Believe? We believe a lot of things. There are three beliefs, however, that are pretty central to our thinking. The Bible is God's word. God is active among us by supernatural gifts. God wants people to be reconciled to him. What's Important to Chi Alpha? Asking God for help (like during your finals). We call this prayer. Doing what Jesus would do (for instance, actually attending class and preparing for your finals). We call this discipleship. Helping each other (like study partners). We call this fellowship. Telling God thanks (especially after passing your finals). We call this worship. Transforming the world. We call this witness. What Kind of Name is Chi Alpha? It's all Greek to us—literally. The Greek letters Chi (x) and Alpha (a) are the initials of a phrase written by the Apostle Paul in the Bible. Translated, the phrase means "Christ's sent ones." The name is a reminder that we represent Jesus.
