Welcome to the official website for the Blinn Photography Club! We're a fun loving group of people who come together every week to share our love of photography! New members are always welcome, regardless of photographic experience. Our members come from all walks of life and have a wide range of photographic abilities. Being a member of the photography club not only gives you access to great photographers for advice, but also to a great darkroom where we develop and print our own black and white film! This way you have complete artistic control over your photographs from start to finish. It's a great way to really see how small changes in camera settings can change the results. Club MeetingsThe club meets every Thursday, unless otherwise notified, at Bryan High School (located near the corner of 29th Street and Briarcrest) in room 6158 at 6pm. To get into the building, come in from the 29th street entrance and park in the back (it's near the tennis courts). We usually meet under the walkway just before meeting time so if you aren't sure, arrive a little early and look for us there. :-) Yahoo GroupIn order to facilitate discussion amongst club members and to make it easier to advise members of schedule changes, we maintain a group on Yahoo for the club. All members are encouraged to join the Yahoo club to keep abreast of club happenings. It's also a great way to share photos with the file utilities or talk with others about a photography related project or issue. To join, go to the group page and request membership. Club DuesDues are $8 per semester and can be submitted as cash, check, or a money order. If paying with check or money order, please make it payable to John Jenkin. Loaner CamerasOur club has several SLR cameras available for loan to members who may not have an SLR of their own, or whose camera may be in the shop. Check with John to request the use of one of our loaner cameras. All of them are in good condition and several are brand new. |
