Ongoing Projects

Stick Cemetery Project

Alpha Phi Lambda, the Blinn Anthropological Society, and the geography Club are working on rehabilitating the Stick Cemetery, an historically African-American cemetery in eastern Brazos County. Clean up dates, research, interviews and more make this a worthwhile and rewarding ongoing project.

Keep Brazos Beautiful

Spring 2006 Kick Butt DayAs a part of Phi Theta Kappa's service initiative with Keep America Beautiful, our chapter has linked with the local branch, Keep Brazos Beautiful (KBB) . Our projects include working with KBB on the annual tree sale, the Household Hazardous Waste collection project, litter clean-up, campus and community beautification projects, and other areas affecting the ecology of Brazos County and the surrounding area.

Project Graduation

Heeding Phi Theta Kappa Executive Director Rod A. Risley's challenge at the 2002 International Convention, Alpha Phi Lambda has made a commitment to support Project Graduation. Our food collections go to the Brazos Food Bank, and our book collections go to the local Half Pint Library.

And many, many more!

Our members are active in a number of different service activities in and around the Bryan/College Station and Brazos County area.
