About Us:

The Blinn College Nursing Students' Association (BCNSA) is affiliated with the National Student Nursing Association, the Texas Nursing Association as well as other nursing and health care organizations. The purpose of this club is to promote and encourage behaviors consistent with the nursing profession. Membership in the BCNSA is open to students currently enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, pre-nursing students who are taking classes at Blinn, and professionals interested in enhancing nursing practice.

There are many benefits to becoming a member of BCNSA

·               Monthly meetings:  provide opportunities for learning, through experienced speakers in various nursing fields
·               Involvement with state and national organizations:  present chances to network and discover new opportunities
·               New student orientations:  help provide insightful information to students new in the ADN program
·               Trips:  attendance at state and possibly national conventions offer fun and companionship with other nursing students
           along with occasions to investigate relevant career possibilities
·               Community service:  assist those in need within our Brazos Valley community

Membership is open throughout the fall and spring semesters.  To join, contact any of the club officers or our Faculty Advisor.  You may view and print the official application form here or it may be filled out online at https://nsnamembership.org/.  Dues listed on these pages do not include the yearly chapter dues of $10.00.  If you decide to apply directly to NSNA, please be sure to notify BCNSA of your payment and application admission so that we may include you in all chapter functions and announcements. 

Officer elections occur at the beginning of the spring semester.  Anyone already enrolled in the Blinn College ADN program may run.  We will also be holding nominations and elections at our first meeting for new positions in the organization.  These positions include the corresponding secretary, the hospitality officer, and class representatives for each semester of nursing students.  For more information on these offices, please contact one of the current officers.

If you would like to purchase any of the items we are selling to raise money for upcoming trips, meetings, and orientations, please click here to view the order form.  Initial orders are due by Thursday, October 27, 2005 and payments are due by October 31, 2005.  We will order additional products after this date as demand requires.

 

NOTE: T-shirt designs have now been approved.  Some rather extensive changes were necessary, some were discarded altogether, and new designs were added.  The actual shirts may look slightly different, depending on the availability of colors, fonts, and clipart available at the printer.
