Dennis UtleyAstronomy, Chemistry and Physics Instructor; Natural Science Assistant Division Chair Utley holds a bachelor of science degree in physics and mathematics, a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and chemistry, a master’s in physical chemistry and a doctorate in nuclear chemistry from Texas A&M. His graduate research involved intermediate energy nuclear reactions, which are reactions that occur in nature only in the interior of stars. At Blinn College in Bryan, he serves as assistant division chair in the natural science division and teaches astronomy, chemistry and physics. He also spent a decade with the support staff of the Radiation Effects Facility (SEE Line) with the Cyclotron Institute. He is the faculty sponsor of the Brazos Region Astronomy Service Society (BRASS), a group of students and community members committed to the sharing of the joys of astronomy
