Deborah L. Cook
Speech Instructor and Fine Arts Assistant Division Chair
A member of Blinn College faculty since 1996, Cook received a bachelor’s
degree in speech communication from Texas A&M University and a master’s
degree from the University of Houston in communication. She serves as
co-advisor for the Beta Alpha chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (international
honor society), vice chair of the Phi Theta Kappa Texas Regional Advisory
Board, and vice chair of the Phi Theta Kappa International Association
of Chapter Advisors. She is in the Texas Hall of Honor for Outstanding
Advisors. She will receive a National Institute for Staff and Organizational
Development award in May 2004 for her teaching and leadership excellence.
