Welcome to Whatley's
Online HIST 1301!
HIST 1301 is the first half of American history from pre-colonization to the end of
Reconstruction. Prerequisites:
Appropriate score on the THEA test or alternative test or completion of READ
0306 with a grade of "C" or better. Credit: Three semester hours. Below are links to other pages related to my class.
To login to the course and enter the Blackboard virtual classroom
click here and follow the instructions.
The syllabus contains
all of the information about the class for this semester including a brief outline,
grading criteria, and tentative exam schedule. All testing is done online.
For each of the exams I post a review sheet to help you
focus your studies.
I also have a page of Study Tips for this class. In fact, they'll help you get 'A's in all of your classes.
There is a companion site
to the textbook that contains learning objectives, reading quizzes, and
other information for each chapter to help you master the material in the textbook.
History and current events are interconnected so I've included a page with links to some
of my favorite news sources.
