Czech language courses continue to be favorites on College’s Schulenburg campus
Blinn College is expanding its conversational Czech classes to its Bryan and Sealy campuses via interactive video conferencing.
The College’s Czech classes have been longtime favorites at its Schulenburg campus, and beginning students will now have the opportunity to participate in those courses through Blinn’s distance learning program.
Classes will begin Sept. 18 and end in late November, and feature the Moravian dialects spoken in Texas. The course, taught by Thadious Polasek, includes 18 hours of instruction for $59, and a text will be available for purchase the first night of the class. Pre-registration is required and is available by calling 979-743-5237 during normal business hours.
Blinn-Schulenburg will also return its Czech and German comfort foods class on Mondays, Oct. 1-29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. That class, instructed by Yvette Janecek, is $59.
The courses are offered with the cooperation of the Czech Ex-Students Association of Texas.
