Blinn computer program grads will offer free tips and repairs
Blinn and the library recently teamed to host computer courses for more than 30 community members. Graduates of the program spent more than 100 classroom hours studying topics ranging from keyboarding and basic computer functions to mastery of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Several of those program graduates have recently taken advantage of additional course offerings that have taught them to diagnose and troubleshoot common computer issues. Five of those students, as well as instructor Rachel Johnson, will be on hand at the Free Computer Repair Fair to provide one-on-one advice, tutoring assistance and computer repairs free of charge. Blinn’s Schulenburg campus is located at 100 Ranger Drive.
The event is part of the Texas Connects Coalition’s “Broadband Across Texas Week,” which aims to help people gain valuable digital skills and learn about free computer and internet access at more than 90 public computer centers across the state, including the Schulenburg Public Library.
