Classroom Training: AED/CPR Certification

In the month of December, one AED/CPR certification class will be offered on the Brenham and Schulenburg campus'.

Participants will learn to recognize and handle emergency situations, caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies, by performing CPR on adults and using an AED on victims of sudden cardiac arrest until advanced medical help is available. Once complete, participants will be authorized to utilize AED's located at various sites on the Blinn College campus' to assist victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

(3 hrs) offered multiple times throughout the year as needed.

NOTE: Participants will not be allowed to complete the class if they arrive late.

SWO is formatted to fit the hectic schedule of the current full-time student. Perfect for a new student worker, SWO covers all the topics they have questions about the most! Participants are provided with materials to guide them through accessing timesheet forms, the online directory and telephone techniques. Information regarding administrative policies on Student Worker Employment and Student Worker Dress Code is also obtained through a series of activities.

RECOMMENDED: Only a student worker with a start date of two weeks before the class date may register.

ALPHA provides new employees with an introduction to Blinn College through an interactive learning environment. Participants explore the different departments, their functions and learn how to access various online forms that are critical to thier efficiency here at Blinn College. A thorough tour of the Blinn College website is also included to offer new employees an all inclusive experience to what Blinn College has to offer.

15 Passenger Van Training is now available year round online and can be taken at your convenience! In addition to the annual driver background check, the passing of this training is mandatory in order to be allowed to drive 15 passenger vans for Blinn College business. The training is to help reduce the risk of accidents and possible injury or death associated with the operation of a 15 passenger van. No volunteers or students workers will be allowed to drive 15 passenger vans.

Sessions are approximately one hour and are offered in an online format year round.

REQUIREMENTS: Access Blinn College's eCampus to view the Tegrity recording. Participants are then required to pass the exam at the end of the training.
