Let's Meet the CIRT Personnel

Incident commander:  Has overall responsibility at the incident.  Sets objectives and priorities

Administration:  Personnel selected by the Provost, Brazos County campuses to assist in mitigation and recovery of a critical incident.

Public information officer:  Provides current facts about the incident to the media.

Police officer sergeant :  In charge of police operations and support services, reports directly to incident commander.

Police officer:  Conducts tactical operations to carry out the plan, develops the tactical objectives, and organization.

Communications supervisor:  In charge of communications.  Blinn uses public service, pager and two-way systems.  Reports directly to incident commander

CIRT supervisor:  In charge of CIRT personnel and assists the police to carry out the plan.  Reports directly to incident commander

CIRT personnel:  Assist police in operations to carry out the plan.  Reports directly to the CIRT supervisor.

Finance/logistics officer:  Monitors the cost of operations, and conducts damage assessment.  Provides for procurements, maintenance and transportation.

Planning officer:  Provides situation status, resource status and technical support.
