Chain of Command-Incident Command System

It is crucial that a system is in place for response, mitigation and recovery.  Blinn relies upon the incident command system for such processes.  Having the incident command system in place allows for more effective and efficient means for responding and standing on our own during a critical incident until help arrives from local agencies.  Also, the incident command system is the system used by all outside emergency agencies.  Having this system in place allows for a universal way of responding.   It also allows for a more accurate and streamlined way of organizing and communicating during a critical incident.

During a non-medical emergency, campus police are notified at extension 7600.  If a medical emergency occurs, it is critical that 911 be notified first.  Then notify campus police at 7600 with details of the medical emergency.
