Re:              Sexual Harassment Training

 

 

The Texas General Appropriations Act requires all state agencies and institutions of higher education  to provide training on sexual harassment to employees within thirty (30) days after they are hired.  Sexual harassment is a form of employment discrimination based on sex which is a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts, as amended and the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, as amended. 

 

Blinn College offers an internet based sexual harassment training in conjunction with New Media Learning.  The training course can be found on the Blinn website under Human Resources.  Click on the following link , Preventing Sexual Harassment, or go to the Blinn website,  www.blinn.edu, choose Quick Links, then Human Resources, and finally Sexual Harassment Training).  At the end of the training course, you will be given a certificate of completion,  Please print out the certificate and send a copy by campus mail to my attention in the Human Resources office.
