Local P-16 Councils
Brazos County P-16 Council
(Bryan Campus)
The Brazos County Local P-16 Council was formed in June of 2009. This area P-16 Council will provide support to the Blinn College-Bryan Campus service area. The lead contact for this Council will be Dr. Debra LaCour, Vice President of Academic Affairs.
The membership will include business and community representatives from the Brazos County area, College Station ISD, Bryan ISD, Texas A & M University, Texas A & M Health Science Center, Sam Houston State University, Prairie View A & M University.
The first Brazos County P-16 Strategic Planning meeting was held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. The Brazos County Executive will meet quarterly, and the strategic plan for this P-16 Council will be finalized during next quarterly meeting, in September 2009.
Washington County P-16 Council
(Brenham Campus)
This Washington County Local P-16 Council is currently under development. The first organization meeting for this Council will occur during the 2010-2011 academic year. This P-16 Council will provide support to the Blinn College-Brenham Campus P-16 initiatives. The membership for this Council will include business and community representatives from the Washington county area. The lead contact for this Council will be Dr. John Harris, Vice President of Student Services.
Austin County P-16 Council
(Sealy Campus)
The Sealy Advisory Committee has been in existence since the campus opened in 2005. This Austin County P-16 Local Council will be formed out of the Sealy Advisory board and their strategic plan is currently under development. The first organization meeting for this Council will occur during the 2010-2011 academic year. This P-16 Council will provide support to the Blinn College-Sealy Campus P-16 initiatives. The membership for this Council will include business and community representatives from the Austin county area. The lead contact for this Council will be Jeri Dulaney, Director, Blinn College-Sealy Campus.
Fayette County P-16 Council
(Schulenburg Campus)
The Schulenburg Advisor Committee has been in existence since the campus opened in 1997. This Fayette County P-16 Local Council will be formed out of the Schulenburg Advisory Board and their strategic plan is currently under development. This P-16 Council will provide support to the Blinn College-Schulenburg P-16 initiatives. The membership for this Council will include business and community representatives from the Fayette county area. The lead contact for this Council will be Rebecca Garlick, Director, Blinn College-Schulenburg Campus.
