Brazos County P-16 Council Overview 

We are pleased to announce the formation of the Brazos County P-16 Council Steering Committee and the Brazos County P-16 Council Executive Committee to support the ongoing efforts of the Blinn College P-16 Initiatives program in Bryan/College Station.

The purpose of the Steering Committee Meetings is to establish a formal leadership team for the Brazos County P-16 Council. This leadership team will work closely with the Director of Blinn College P-16 Initiatives to:

  • Complete the THECB Recognized P-16 Regional Council Application
  • Create and adopt the bylaws for the Brazos County P-16 Council
  • Update the current strategic plan for the Brazos County P-16 Council

The Steering Committee will also work as a team to coordinate programs and activities that truly represent the perspective and educational goals of the Brazos County P-16 Council. The Steering Committee Meetings will be held at the Research Valley Partnership, Inc. Office at 1500 Research Parkway Ste. 270, College Station, Texas 77845.

The Executive Committee Meetings will provide a platform for community stakeholders and strategic partners to present ideas and discuss issues of mutual concern related to:

  • College University Transfer and Articulation Programs
  • College Readiness Projects
  • Teacher Recruitment and Retention
  • Dual/Concurrent Enrollment
  • Minority Enrollment and Assessments

The Executive Committee Meetings will be held at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Office at 3991 E. 29th, Bryan, Texas 77803. The schedule for the Steering Committee and Executive Committee meetings is attached for your convenience.
