FPC Bryan

FPC Bryan

The Federal Prison Camp Bryan, Texas, is a minimum security facility that houses female inmates.  Minimum security institutions, also known as Federal Prison Camps (FPCs), have dormitory housing, a relatively low staff-to-inmate ratio, and limited or no perimeter fencing. These institutions are work and program oriented. Many are located adjacent to larger institutions or on military bases, where inmates help serve the labor needs of the larger institution or base. FPC Bryan houses approximately 670 offenders.  The facility which opened its doors as a men’s facility in 1988, was converted to a women’s unit the following year.
