Blinn Overwatch esports team in second place after first loss of the season
Blinn falls to league leader Southeastern University

In a matchup of league co-leaders, Blinn College’s Overwatch esports team lost Monday to Southeastern University.
The 3-0 defeat was Blinn’s first of the season. Blinn is now 6-1.
Coach Aaron Kapiko said all of the games against Southeastern were close.
“It was a tough loss, but we’re still in second place in our group. We’ll be back at it again on Thursday,” Kapiko said.
Blinn will play St. Andrews University on Thursday.
Members of Blinn’s Overwatch team are Caleb Sheffield (Austin), Ayden Rodriguez (College Station), Andrew Magourik (Bryan), Carter Haber (Aledo, Texas), Juan Cantu (Cedar Hill, Texas), and Jacob Barnes (Bryan).
Blinn’s Rocket League team, 5-1 on the season, plays Marian University and Shenandoah University tonight. Blinn’s 2-0 Valorant team plays East Central University on Wednesday.
Blinn’s esports program began this fall. It is a member of the National Association of College Esports against two-year colleges and four-year universities.
