Officials from Texas A&M University-Texarkana will visit the Blinn College-Bryan Campus next week to share information regarding the Bachelor of Science in Biology degree program coming to the RELLIS Campus this Fall semester.
A&M-Texarkana officials will be located in the Blinn-Bryan Student Center lobby (map) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 2.
A&M-Texarkana’s Bachelor of Science in Biology program at RELLIS prepares students for in-demand careers within the biological sciences industry. Biology majors select minors in chemistry, environmental science or pre-health. Pre-medical students in this program also are eligible to apply for Texas’s Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP). With opportunities for collaborative research, study abroad programs and hands-on learning environments, the program’s addition to the RELLIS Campus provides access to high-quality educational experiences.
Blinn College will offer Associate of Science degrees in biology and chemistry, providing comprehensive pathways for students en route to their bachelor’s degree from A&M-Texarkana.
In Fall 2018, Blinn will open the Walter C. Schwartz Building at The Texas A&M System RELLIS Campus, allowing Blinn students to pursue four-year degrees from Texas A&M System regional universities onsite. Each program at the RELLIS Academic Alliance creates a seamless pathway for students to earn a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an A&M System university, including Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M University, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M International University, West Texas A&M University, A&M-Texarkana, Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University-Central Texas.
