Blinn College welcomes Jason Jennings to its Board of Trustees

Blinn College is pleased to welcome Jason Jennings, President of Baylor Scott & White – College Station Region, to its Board of Trustees.
Jennings was appointed to the Blinn College board by the Brazos County Commissioners Court. His term begins immediately and runs through November 2019.
“I am honored to be appointed to the Blinn College Board of Trustees, and can think of no better way to serve the community than to support the important work that Blinn College performs for local students and employers,” Jennings said.
Prior to his role as President at Baylor Scott & White – College Station Region, Jennings served as Chief Operating Officer for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest, where he led the opening of a new hospital campus and managed operations for the 310-bed, Level II trauma center. During his time there, the hospital experienced double-digit growth in admissions, surgeries, births, catheterization procedures, and financial metrics.
Jennings is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. He holds master’s degrees in physical therapy and business administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and is board certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives.
A native Texan who grew up in Arlington, Jennings serves on the HOSPAC Board and Committee of Policy Development with the Texas Hospital Association. He also is an active member of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as a board member.
“The board is extremely pleased with the appointment of Jason by the commissioners court,” said Charles Moser, Board Chair. “His expertise will be invaluable as Blinn continues to grow and develop programs for our students and the health-related entities of the Brazos Valley.”
Jennings fills the seat vacated by Tammy Spohn, who recently accepted a job in Oregon.
