Dear Blinn College Faculty, Staff, and Students,

In recent days, our campus communities have come together to support one another in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and the incomprehensible damage it has caused.

To everyone affected by this storm, please know that Blinn College supports you. As classes begin on Wednesday, please use your best judgment regarding travel, and be aware of weather and road conditions before you leave your homes. Blinn will accommodate any student or employee who is not able to arrive on campus in time for the start of the Fall semester, and will work with you to provide flexibility and support for those impacted by the storm. Students who are unable to come to campus for the start of the Fall semester should contact their instructors when possible.

I would like to thank the Blinn College administrators and staff who have worked to ensure that all Blinn campuses will operate on a regular schedule beginning Wednesday, and the Blinn College Police Department and area law enforcement for keeping our campuses safe.

For those interested in contributing to the Hurricane Harvey recovery effort, this Texas Tribune article includes information for flood victims who need assistance and for those who would like to help.

Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing each of you at Blinn soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Hensley
Chancellor of the Blinn College District
