Ten Blinn College – Schulenburg Campus students recently learned techniques for documenting and sharing their family stories.
Preserving Your Family Story, an eight-week course, was taught by Fayette County author Elaine Thomas, who showed the students to plan, research, organize, write, and produce a compelling collection of family memories.
Students who completed the course are: Eileen McCourt (La Grange), Karen Gordon (Weimar), Janetta Morris (La Grange), Deacon John McCourt (La Grange), Terri Wagner (La Grange), Lemae Higgs (Swiss Alp), Barbara Bolyard (Smithville), Verta Brown (La Grange) and Linda Meuth (Giddings).
Students who have completed Preserving Your Family Story may be interested in Preserving Your Family Story II, which is scheduled to begin March 2017. Another Preserving Your Family Story I course section is scheduled for October 2017. Thomas will instruct both courses and enrollment is $79.
