Students on Blinn College’s home campus in Brenham selected their leaders for next year at last week’s Student Life awards ceremony. The students elected Lili Campos as Student Government Association (SGA) president for 2011-2012. Campos is a sophomore from Hearne. Libby Vincent, a sophomore from East Bernard, will serve as vice president.
The SGA is the official voice of the student body. It provides an opportunity for students to participate in the college’s decision-making process. The organization coordinates student homecoming activities, approves student club activities and fundraisers, and publishes weekly announcements about upcoming events on campus.
