56 student-athletes at Blinn College have been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, posting a 3.0 or better grade point average (GPA) for the spring 2011 semester. Their combined GPA was 3.18, with seven earning a perfect 4.0 GPA’s. To be eligible, student-athletes must have passed a minimum of 12 hours and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Baseball players Justin Beck, Kevin Hahn and Chris Muellner, along with softball players Brittany Arredondo and Sara Vaughn, dance team member Stephanie Farrer and volleyball player Shelby Dickson all finished the spring semester with perfect 4.0 GPA’s. This marks Hahn’s second consecutive semester with a 4.0, while Vaughn finishes her two-year career as a Buccaneer with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The baseball program posted the most students to the honor roll with 17, followed by cheer and dance with nine and football, volleyball and softball with eight each. There were three women’s basketball players, one men’s basketball player and one trainer.
