Blinn’s SBDC offers basic QuickBooks course

On Aug. 26 Blinn’s Small Business Development Center will offer another Basic Level QuickBooks course, 2010 Edition. The session will be held one day only, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., in the Bullock Building on the Blinn College campus in Brenham.

The course prepares participants to set up a company from scratch. Instructions cover budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, managing customers and vendors, charting accounts, controlling inventory, preparing financial reports and reconciling bank and credit card accounts.

Certified QuickBooks instructor Shirley Beum of Seidel, Schroeder & Co. will be the instructor. The cost is $60 and pre-registration is required. To register or to get more information, call 979-830-4137, 979-627-7560, or email carol.doersom@blinn.edu.

The SBDC at Blinn College is a business consulting and training center that is part of the University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network, which serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas.
