Blinn College sets spring enrollment record
For the second consecutive spring semester, Blinn College registered a record number of students with a 5.59 percent increase from spring 2009. Blinn enrollment stands at 15,797 including the four campuses, distance education, high schools, prisons, and the Texas Engineering Extension Service fire and police academies.
Twelfth class day unofficial figures show the home campus in Brenham with 2,170 students, a 6.95 percent increase. The Bryan campus experienced a 3.92 percent increase to 10,863 students. The Schulenburg campus registered 207, which is a jump of 5.61 percent. And the campus in Sealy experienced a 37.27 percent increase in spring enrollment with 151 students. The college registered 1,194 students in area high schools, plus 208 students at Bryan Collegiate High. Blinn also had 187 students in state and federal prisons. Some students take classes on more than one campus including online courses.
