Blinn students recognized by national theater festival

Blinn College theater arts students were recognized at the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival. The Blinn program’s entry “The Actor’s Nightmare” won recognition for two participants and high marks for a third. The judge awarded freshman Rob Pounds of Katy and sophomore Mikhala Godfrey of San Antonio with Irene Ryan Nominations. He was also very complementary of sophomore Andy Burian of Tomball.

The Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival is a prestigious national theater program that involves 18,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide, and serves as a catalyst for improving the quality of college theatre in the United States. The KC/ACTF program has grown into a network of more than 600 academic institutions throughout the country, where theatre departments and student artists showcase their work and receive outside assessment.
