A crazy classroom, a missing teacher set stage for a great children’s story
In November, the Blinn Players will turn the popular children’s book “Miss Nelson is Missing!” into a performance for theatergoers of all ages. The production, adapted for the stage by Jeffery Hatcher, tells the story of Miss Nelson, a teacher who has trouble controlling her crazy classroom. But when she disappears, the unruly students get a hard-as-nails replacement that cancels recess, overloads them with homework, and loves to send rule breakers to detention.
The performances will be Nov. 4-7 at 7 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center on the Brenham campus. Elementary school preview performances are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 4-6. Tickets are $5 at the Student Center ticket office, (979) 830-4024.
