Four Blinn Buccaneers named NJCAA All-Americans
Four players on the 2009 national championship team were selected to the All-American teams by the National Junior College Athletic Association. Defensive lineman Anthony Gonzales and punter Jared Jaroszewski were named to the NJCAA All-American First Team while quarterback Cameron Newton and linebacker Dextrell Simmons received honorable mention.

| Anthony Gonzales 6-5, 255, a sophomore from Copperas Cove, had 39 tackles this year including 7.5 sacks. |
Jared Jaroszewski 6-2, 205, a sophomore from Geronimo who also played wide receiver, finished second in the NJCAA, averaging 41.9 yards a punt. |
Cameron Newton 6-6, 245, is a sophomore from Atlanta, GA, who is ranked by Rivals.com as the top recruit from among junior college players. He passed for 2,833 yards and 22 touchdowns, and rushed for 655 yards and 16 touchdowns. |
Dextrell Simmons 5-11, 205, a freshman from Houston Westfield, had 57 tackles, forced two fumbles, and caught two interceptions, one that he returned for a touchdown. |
Players must have been nominated by their respective college and must have been an All-Conferenceselection in order to be considered.
