Three Bucs receive all American honors

Three members of the Blinn Buccaneer football team received National Junior College Athletic Association All American honors, first-year head coach Brad Franchione has announced.

Wide receiver Jamar Green was named to the first team, while center Tony Burson was named to the second team and running back James Johnson received honorable mention.

Green (5-7, 160), a red-shirt freshman out of Chilton High School, was earlier named to the all-conference team as a return specialist. He returned 21 punts on the year for an average of 18.6 yards and two touchdowns.

Burson, (6-3, 305) a sophomore from Katy, has signed to play with Midwestern State University next season. He was also a Southwest Junior College Football Conference first-team selection.

Johnson (5-11, 195), a sophomore from Port Arthur who earned first-team all American honors last season, ran for 1,163 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.
