Blinn Foundation makes donation

Blinn College Foundation Inc. recently purchased a new industrial size washer and dryer for the Buccaneer football program. Inspecting the new equipment are, left to right, athletic director Don Wilhelm, head football coach Scott Maxfield, foundation board member Nathan Winkelmann and college president Don Voelter.

The foundation recently awarded $71,077 in gifts to various programs of the college in its first major contribution since the nonprofit corporation was reorganized in 2000. The foundation provides support for programs and activities to enhance the quality of education for the students and to expand educational opportunities for the community through scholarships, capital projects, programs and other activities.
