Mrs. Anglin
the person

I respect my students and, in return, I expect to be respected.  One way that I expect my students to show their respect for me is by always addressing me as Mrs. Anglin.  I want my students to know that they can ask me questions. I want them to feel that we are working together to understand the mathematics.  I strive to help my students understand that there are no dumb questions.

Personal questions, though, are not appropriate in the classroom.  I have found that many students are less intimidated by my math abilities when they realize that I am a regular family person so, I will provide a little personal information on this web page.  My husband and I have been married for 29 years and have 4 wonderful children.  We are members of the Baha'i Faith (www.bahai.org).  My three oldest children are "all grown up" and doing their own thing.  My youngest son is a sophomore at Round Top Carmine High School.

I really like getting to know my students.  That is part of the reason that I co-sponsor two clubs on campus.  I sponsor the Baha'i Club and Ebony & Ivory.  Both clubs do lots of interesting projects during the semester and I welcome you to come and visit their meetings.  ( See Frequently Asked Questions and look at question #6.)  The Baha'i Club meets on Wednesdays at noon in the student center and Ebony & Ivory meets on the first and third Tuesdays at noon in the student center.
