Frequently Asked Questions

1.    Will you accept late homework?  I had a really good reason for not being in class.

No, I don't accept late homework.  I respect your judgment about attending class.
I don't need to know why you were absent.  I drop one week’s worth of grades to
            compensate for absences.

2.    What if I know in advance that I will need to be absent?

You can always turn in homework in advance or send it to my office before class.
Have a friend; roommate, etc. bring it to my office room A-2 if you can't.

3.    You have the test scheduled on the same day that I am leaving for a Blinn activity.
        What can I do?

You can take the exam in the Learning Center before the test day - not afterwards.
Just notify me of the Blinn excused absence as soon as possible and we can make
            the arrangements.  The other option
available to you is the make-up exam at the
            end of the semester.

4.    Do we have to copy the problems on the homework?

You need to copy all homework problems except the word problems and translate
            problems.

5.    I heard you donated your hair. Tell me about that.

For 14 years I had long hair.  In February of 2002, the Blinn College Baha'i Club
had a fund /hair raiser.  I donated my hair to Locks of Love.  The beautician made
6 ponytails out of my hair.  I donated a total of 168 inches of hair.  The club
raised over 200 inches of hair and over $100.  I began growing it back in 2003

and now it is about the same length it was when I cut it in 2002.

6.    What is Locks of Love?

Locks of Love is an organization that makes human hair wigs for kids who cannot
grow their own.  These kids usually have alapacia or may have lost their hair to
          chemotherapy.
