Full Text

The complete electronic text of an article is called the full text. Some databases, like Literature Resource Center, provide entire articles online. Full text may be available in either PDF or HTML format, sometimes both. PDF is a scanned image of the article, and includes pictures, graphs, and other illustrations. HTML full text is just the plain text and usually does not include llustrations.

What if there are pictures or graphs with the article that you want to see?

To find pictures originally published with the article, you usually need to get the PDF full text from the database or the print copy from the library.
