- Provides indexing and abstracts for over 1,700 current nursing
and allied health journals and publications dating back to 1982,
totaling over 920,000 records. Indexes the periodicals Journal
of Practical Hygiene, Minority Nursing, and Newborn and Infant
Nursing Reviews, available in print in the Bryan campus library.

Health Complete / Salud en Espanol - Designed to support patients' information
needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics.
This full text database includes articles from journals, newswires, and reference books as well as images, animations, and videos.
Health
Reference Center Academic (Academically oriented) / Health
and Wellness Resource Center (Consumer oriented) - Both
of these databases index over 800 health periodicals, many full
text reference books and pamphlets.
Many articles are available full text. While there is a great
deal of overlap in the content of these two
databases, Health Reference Center Academic provides more advanced
search capabilities, while Health and Wellness Resource Center
provides a graphical, more intuitive interface.

full text of articles for nearly 550 scholarly journals and abstracts and indexing
for nearly 850 journals. It also includes
Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names. Updated daily.

Source - Consumer Edition -
provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines,
searchable full text for more than 1,000 health-related pamphlets, and more than 130 health reference books
on topics including the medical sciences,
food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general
health. Updated daily.

- A Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative
journals published by renowned Latin American medical publishers.
This unique database provides access to full text for nearly 100
peer-reviewed medical journals
Medline
- Provides indexing and abstracting for over 4,600 current biomedical
journals. Provides the full text from over 350 journals. Includes
journals from the U.S. and 70 foreign countries.
MedlinePlus - Contains
pages of carefully selected links to Web resources with authoritative
health information, including dictionaries, directories, organizations,
news sources and 650 health topics. It also contains links to
pre-formulated searches of the MEDLINE/PubMed database, allowing
you to find references to latest health professional articles
on your topic.
Natural & Alternative Treatments - contains almost two hundred
articles on medical conditions, presenting in an evidence-based
manner the alternative medicine therapies proposed for use in
their treatment. It also contains detailed, evidence-based information
on herbs and supplements, functional foods, and other alternative
therapies such as acupuncture and homeopathy. The evidence-based
content has been developed and reviewed by a team of physicians
and pharmacologists with the goal of providing consumers with
reliable information.
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection - Provides nearly 575
full text publications, including nearly 550 peer-reviewed titles.
Covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics,
psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and
observational and experimental methods.
What if a periodical
index does not have the entire text of an article I need?
If the full text of an article is not available in a library
database, it is possible to check another database for the full
text or determine if the library owns a print version of a publication.
