Periodical Articles
The library has
article databases that you can search by keyword or subject heading
to find articles in magazines, journals, and newspapers. These databases
provide citations, abstracts, and often the full text of articles.
From the library homepage, click on Articles

& Politics. The library has a research guide entitled Locate Journals
& Magazines in the Library that will answer additional questions
you may have regarding periodicals. Here are a few recommended electronic
periodical indexes (also refered to as "databases"):
Academic
Search Complete - Provides citations and many full text articles
to a multidisciplinary array of topics dating as far back as 1975.
It indexes thousands of popular magazines and scholarly journals.
Elibrary
Curriculum - Full text articles from magazines, newspapers, and
reference books, plus transcripts chosen from over 150 radio and television
news programs, audio/video clips, pictures, maps, and recommended
websites.
Info
Trac Newspapers - Provides
full-text coverage of newspapers such as the New York Times,
the Washington Post, the Houston Chronicle, and
the Austin American Statesman.
