Merriam-Webster Dictionary Search the dictionary for definitions or the thesaurus for synonyms.

One Look Dictionary Search Find definitions of words and phrases and hear the correct pronunciation. Includes definitions from many online dictionaries and thesauri, including Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary, Roget's Thesaurus, Cambridge International Dictionary of English, and American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language.

Oxford English Dictionary (OED) The Oxford English Dictionary (also known as the OED) is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources, from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery books.

If you are in the library, dictionaries and thesauri can be found in the reference section of the library in call number range 400 to 423. Unabridged dictionaries can also be found on dictionary stands in the Brenham and Bryan campus libraries.
