Residence Halls
Housing is on a first come first serve basis. You should apply
by the fall semester of your senior year. To apply for on-campus
housing you must submit the housing application and $200 deposit
to put your name on the Residence Hall housing list.

On-Campus Residence Halls
Cost is per semester for Fall, Spring and Summer. Does not include
the cost of a meal plan.
WHAT TO BRING:
- 4 towel sets
- 1 bed pillow
- 2 pillowcases
- 4 standard twin bed sheets*
- 1 mattress protector*
- 1 bedspread
- 1 blanket
- telephone (see below)
*Mattresses in Helman, Beazley, Helman, J. Atkinson, Melcher and Solons
are 80” long.
APPLIANCES:
- Not allowed – appliances with exposed heating elements
– due to potential fire and safety problems
- Allowed – computer and printer, small refrigerator
(maximum size 3.6 cubic feet), and television.
PERSONAL PROPERTY INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED
WHAT IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR RESIDENCE
HALL:
- Microwave
- Free local phone service
- Students are required to furnish the phones to receive voice
mail
- Long distance calls may be made with a phone card, credit
card or by calling collect
- Basic cable is available in each room at no additional cost
- ResNet
is available through Blinn College, except for Holleman and
Memorial Halls.
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
- Blinn College prohibits the possession or storage of –
any type of firearm, dangerous weapon, including BB guns, bows
& arrows, spear guns, slingshots and other potentially dangerous
& hazardous weapons, flammable liquids or explosive device
in the residence halls or in your automobile on college premises.
- Pets are not allowed in the residence halls, either on a
permanent or visitation basis.
- Halogen lamps and candles are not permitted.
ROOMMATES
- If you have requested someone for a roommate, we will try
to accommodate you. If you have not requested a roommate, one
will be assigned to you.
- Because of so many changes, we do not disclose assigned roommates.
Incompatibility changes can be made after check-in. Please be patient.
- If the person you request has the same hall assignment, we
can verify if you are roommates.
MEALS
- Meals are served on move-in days. The Cove is open on the 2nd mve-in day. Breakfast will be served
the first day of class from 7 a.m.– 8:30 a.m.
- The dining hall is located in the Student Center
- A minimum meal plan is required
