  • Sunday, May 21, 2017, by 10 p.m. (132nd day) -Deadline for the house to distribute its last House Daily Calendar with senate bills and senate joint resolutions.
  • Monday, May 22, 2017, by 9 a.m. (133rd day) -Deadline for the house to distribute its last House Local & Consent Calendar with senate bills.

SB 8 (Schwertner/Burkett) Relating to certain prohibited abortions and the treatment and disposition of a human fetus, human fetal tissue, and embryonic and fetal tissue remains; creating a civil cause of action; imposing a civil penalty; creating criminal offenses.

SB 22 (Taylor/Lucio III) Relating to the establishment of a Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program and to the repeal of the tech-prep program.

On second reading –
SB 1430 (Perry/Lucio) Relating to a requirement that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality provide an expedited procedure for acting on certain applications for an amendment to a water right by certain applicants that use desalinated seawater.

SB 1538 (Watson/Phelan) Relating to the permissible uses of the floodplain management account.

SB 813 (Hughes/Meyer) Relating to recovery of damages, attorney's fees, and costs related to frivolous regulatory actions by state agencies.

SB 1021(Nelson/Price) Relating to reports on the consolidation and certain functions of the health and human services system, including advisory committees within the system, and the re-creation of the Texas system of care framework.

SB 894 (Buckingham/Muñoz) Relating to the Health and Human Services Commission's auditing of Medicaid managed care organizations and auditing and collection of Medicaid payments, including the commission's management of audit resources.

SB 547 (Kolkhorst/Lambert) Relating to the provision of services and resources to certain individuals by a state supported living center and to the creation of a schedule of support services a state supported living center may provide and procedures for establishing applicable fees for those services.
