Curtain up!
More than 175 youth performers from 12 Texas theatres will perform June 11-13 as part of the 14th Annual Texas Nonprofit Theatres Youth Conference in Brenham. All performances are open to the public. Performances are at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dr. W. W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center on the campus of Blinn College. (Basic Schedule and detailed performance schedule is attached.)
After their performance, each youth company will receive commentary from Chester Eitze, a theatre professional currently Executive Director at Bastrop Opera House. The youth performances are part of a four-day conference that includes age-appropriate workshops in acting skills, improvisation, mask-making and other theatre skills taught by theatre professionals from around the state. Participants also will have time for fun and games before the conference concludes with an Awards Ceremony on Sunday morning.
