History of the Chorale

Founded in 1974 under the direction of Dick Damon, the Brenham Chorale enjoys a rich history of tradition and excellence. For over a quarter of a century, the Brenham Chorale has delighted thousands by bringing beautiful choral music to the entire Brenham community.

The Brenham Chorale rehearses on Monday nights, 6:30-9:00 pm, and along with the Blinn College Choral Union presents major works in the new, state-of-the-art O'Donnell Performing Arts Center. The Brenham Chorale has performed to sold-out audiences in Brenham and recently performed the Mozart Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Membership is open to all interested singers. People from Brenham and neighboring cities such as Navasota, Bellville and Giddings are welcome to join in as the choir prepares masterworks from some of the finest composers who have ever lived! The Chorale will continue to bring the finest in choral music to the Brenham community.
