AlumniJonathan BrownBlinn Players 1999-2000
Former Blinn College theatre arts student Jonathan Brown landed a role in the off-Broadway production of La La Land. The two-man show by Russell Dobullar opened Oct. 18, 2003, at Theatre Studio Inc., directed by Mike Nagles. Since leaving Blinn, Brown has appeared in four previous productions in New York City. They include 27 Wagons Full of Cotton and Lonestar at the Ansonia Theatre and A Tribute to Malcolm X and To Be A Black Man in America at the UJAMMA Black Theatre. While at Blinn he appeared in Dinny and the Witches, The Insanity of Mary Girard and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Brown is from Huntsville, Texas. Richard WaltersBlinn Players 1998-2000
Columbus native Rich Walters recently appeared as an extra in the movie The Life of David Gale. He also worked as the stunt double for the 2002 film's star Kevin Spacey. While at Blinn, Walters appeared in Dinny and the Witches, Car on a Hot Tin Roof, The Real Inspector Hound and The Mystery of Irma Vep. He also served as the assistant director and lighting coordinator for Mary Girard and the sound coordinator of The Serpent. While as Blinn he appeared in Mannequin's Demise; The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe; The Wizard of Oz; Macbeth; 1984; and The Haunted Through Lounge and Recessed Dining Nook at Farndale Castle. DeBlieux is from Brenham, Texas. Peter MadrigalBlinn Players 2003-2005
He starred in such Blinn College productions as Beowulf (he played Grendle), Frankenstein (he played the Creature), and Once Upon A Mattress (he played the Wizard). He is currently living in Los Angeles, working for a prestigious clothing store in Beverly Hills, doing small roles in movies and television and doing small modeling gigs. He has appeared in television and film, including a role as a Panamanian policeman in the popular TV series “Prison Break.” His credits include 14 commercials. He has also appeared in theater in Houston, New York, Atlanta, Hawaii and on tour. While at Blinn, he played leading roles in “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and “The Voice of the Prairie.” He also assisted with backstage set construction for “J.B.” and makeup design for the 1996 Delta Psi Omega “Evening of One-Act Plays.”

He attended Blinn College as a theatre arts major from the fall of 2004 until the spring of 2007. While here, he played leading roles in such shows as Once Upon a Mattress, Pinocchio, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and ALiCE! He also directed a scene from William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, and served as author for the original student work "The Spirits of the Forest."
