The Blinn College Office of Financial Aid is committed to providing financial resources to students who would otherwise be unable to pursue their educational goals. To the extent that funding is available, Blinn College is committed to ensuring that all eligible students who are making satisfactory academic progress be afforded the opportunity for a post-secondary education.
In the processing of your file several documents are required. Every student must turn in the Blinn Student Financial Aid Data Form, a complete Student Aid Report (FAFSA), and any other documents that may be required. Your file cannot begin to be processed until all your paperwork is turned in.
Due to new Federal guidelines, Blinn College will be changing loan programs beginning with the Summer 2010 terms. In previous semesters Blinn College has offered loans to eligible students through the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program. With the recent legislation all loans will now be processed through the William D Ford Direct Loan program. This program will allow students to borrow loan funds directly from the Federal Government.
Beginning with the Summer 2010 terms all student will be required to sign a new Master Promissory Note and complete entrance counseling at www.StudentLoans.gov. Should you have any questions regarding the new Direct Loan program that cannot be answered at www.StudentLoans.gov please contact the Blinn College Financial Aid Office at 979-830-4144.
