Too often e-mail creates unintentional misunderstandings of tone and intent.  Linsey will share methods of creating a carefully professional tone through the employment of “boilerplate.” She will also talk about the requirements of netiquette and the defusing of potential “situations,” including the limits of apologies, through neutral reliance on institutional policies and authority.  

Using CPS to Increase Student Engagement
Classroom response pads are one option for increasing student interaction and engagement.  Blinn College uses the eInstruction CPS system.  Angela will talk about how she uses this system in her classes and what changes have happened on the administrative side since last year.
