Awareness events leading up to Spring Break March 9-12, 2015
Spring break can be a highlight in the life of a college learner; but it can also be a time of unfortunate events, many of which are highly preventable.
Student Leadership & Activities is getting a head start on promoting student safety with “Destination: Spring Break 2015,” a four day event emphasizing the importance of responsible behavior and the potential consequences of bad decisions.
Our goal with these activities is to influence college learners to behave responsibly while on spring break; We want them to have fun during their week off, and we want them to return to us safe and sound.
During the fair, students, faculty, staff and campus visitors enjoy free refreshments and exhibits while gathering useful safety information imperative for any spring break traveler. Presenters at the fair cover topics ranging from personal safety, travel tips, recreational safety, to drug and alcohol usage and the proper use of sunscreen and seatbelts.
Blinn College’s “Destination: Spring Break 2015” is scheduled for March 9-12, 2015 in the Student Center from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on the Bryan Campus, and all events are free and open to the public.
