Remote Testing
Introduction
If you are not located close to one of the Blinn campuses (Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, or Sealy), you may make special arrangements to take your tests at a testing center close to you.
Procedures
There are several steps that you must follow:
- As soon as you register for a Distance Learning course, contact a testing center at a community college or university in the area where you will be during the test/semester. You will be responsible for any fees required by the testing center.
- Get the testing person's contact information (name, phone number, fax number, address, and e-mail). Send that contact information to your instructor.
Please note that it is your responsibility to let your instructor know that you are testing remotely, and it is your responsibility to let your instructor know where you will be testing. The Distance Learning department is not responsible for letting your instructor know your arrangements.
- Your instructor will arrange to have your test(s) sent to the testing center. You must take the test within the dates your instructor tells you it is offered.
Please note: Libraries, high schools, or counseling offices are not considered acceptable or approved testing centers. You must take your tests at a community college or university with a testing center.
Located Outside of the United States of America.
The contact person for the remote testing center must follow the rules listed above and must speak English.
