Self Assessment - Are you READI?
READI is a web-based tool which assesses your level of readiness for enrolling in distance education courses. It assesses important attributes in online learning, such as self-motivation, time-management skills, self-discipline, persistence, availability of time, and ability to use a laptop, printer, software, and the Internet.
Your scores on this assessment will not prevent you from being able to take online classes, nor will your scores impact your grades in courses you may already be taking. READI is just being provided by your school to help you understand your strengths and weaknesses better as you prepare to learn online. READI is a tool to help you succeed!
After taking the READI assessment, you immediately receive a score and diagnostic interpretation of the results so you can measure the degree to which you have the characteristics needed for success in studying at a distance.
To take the READI assessment:
1. Go to http://blinn.readi.info/
2. For first time users, your username will be the semester you are enrolling in plus the year. For example, your username for the Spring 2010 session would be: spring2010. Note: December Minimester students should use the login for the Spring semester, and May Minimester students should use the login for the Summer semester.
Your password will be: blinn
Follow the directions on each page to complete the assessment. You may stop at any time and have a PIN sent to your email address so you can finish it another time.
3. For returning users, you should have been provided login information via your email address. Use your email address and your PIN number to continue your assessment.
