TSIA Dual Credit Testing

The Dual Credit Program enables high school juniors and seniors to earn credit toward a college degree by enrolling in a college course and to simultaneously satisfy the requirements for high school graduation.  Prospective dual credit students must be TSI exempt (documentation required) or take the state placement test, TSIA, and pass the related section to the college course in which they would like to enroll.
Steps to taking the TSIA:

  • Choose the test date
  • Register and pay for the TSIA at Enrollment Services office on the Brenham or Bryan Campus or with your high school counselor
    • The $45 test fee is non-refundable/non-transferrable
  • What to bring on the day of the test
    • Proof of the Pre Assessment Activity (print the completion certificate)
      • Or give to high school counselor if registering at the high school)
    • A Photo ID
    • Receipt of payment (or money order if registered through high school counselor)
    • Social Security #
  • Do NOT bring:
    • Cell Phones (leave in car of they will be collected for the duration of the test)
    • Calculators or any electronic devices
    • Backpacks, large bags, or purses
