Advising Information

To ensure an effective and accurate advising experience, please have the following items submitted to the Blinn College Admissions Office before you come for advising:

1. Blinn College Application or Texas Common Application

Applications can be accessed at the following link:

2. Official high school and/or all college transcripts


3. Exemption or placement college entrance scores

       Examples of these scores include: SAT, ACT, TAKS, THEA, ACCUPLACER,
       COMPASS or ASSET tests

The Bryan Advising office will close at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 so that the Academic Advisors can attend a professional development conference.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

During peak times (Summer, October, April, and at least 2 weeks before classes start) appointment times book quickly.  If you are TSI liable and/or are a first time enrolled or enrolling student and you choose not to complete (do) Self-Advising Waiver form and need to be advised so you can register for classes you may opt for a Walk-In advising session.  Walk-In advising sessions are available in Science Room 157 on the Bryan campus on a first come, first serve basis.  You are encouraged to arrive early since during peak registration periods (Summer, October, April, and right before classes start) and wait time could be up to two hours.

Telephone Advising
The Bryan campus now offers telephone advising appointments.  If you live in Brazos County we encourage you to consider a Walk-In advising session or if you wish to set up a phone advising session please click here to set up an appointment*. 

*During peak times (Summer, October, April, and at least 2 weeks before classes start) it can take at least 48 hours for us to respond to your request, if you need advising and you live in the Brazos area you will most likely want to come in for Walk-In advising.
