Jamie Everett is currently serving as the new Interim Head Cheer/Dance Coach. A native of Channelview, Texas; Coach Everett attended Channelview High School where she was a four-year member of the Channelview High School Varsity Cheer Squad making Co-Captain her senior year. She cheered competitively at the all-star level for eight years. During these years, Everett became a seven-time NCA All-American Cheerleader. In addition to her competitive cheer experience, she also danced competitively for four years at the all-star level.
After high school, Everett became a staff member of the National Cheerleaders Association in 2002. She currently holds the position of Head Instructor with NCA and travels all over the nation during the summer months to coach and instruct various cheer teams at high school and all-star camps. She also serves as a judge for cheerleader tryouts in the south Texas region. She is currently in her eighth year with NCA. Everett began her college career at Blinn College where she was a member of the Blinn Cheer Team in 2002-2003 under the direction of former coach Karry Forsythe. During this time, the cheerleaders attended their first NCA National
Championship - placing 13th. After leaving Blinn, Everett transferred to The University of Houston where she also cheered while majoring in Kinesiology – Study of Sports Movement. While attending UH she coached the J.V. and Varsity Cheer Squads at St. John’s School in Houston, TX for three years.
After graduating Cum Laude with a B.S. in Kinesiology from UH in December 2009, Everett moved to Brenham, Texas where she is currently fulfilling the Head Coach duties for the Blinn Buccaneer Cheer and Dance Teams.
