Home Run Derby Winners

Blinn College Baseball host 2nd Annual Home Run Derby

The Blinn College Baseball team hosted its 2nd annual Home Run Derby on October 18th.  The fundraiser was a tremendous success this year.  All of the players and their families were invited out on homecoming for a night of fun provided by the Blinn Baseball Club.  The evening kicked off with a welcome from Coach McIntyre and a meal catered by Big Daddy’s Barbecue followed by the Home Run Derby event.  There was a wonderful turn out of over 200 parents and family members who were treated by this year’s derby Runner-Up Chase Brown (Arlington Martin H.S.) and Champion Cody Morrison (Spring H.S.) launching home runs into the night sky.

“This is the biggest fund raiser of the year for our program and we can’t thank everyone involved enough.  Our kids do a wonderful job all fall, not only on the practice field and in the classroom, but in everything that we ask them to do for this program.  We can’t say enough about what a first class group of gentlemen we have here at Blinn.” – Coach Harvey McIntyre
