Buccaneers Defeat Panola

The Blinn College Women's Basketball team returned home Tuesday night to face Region XIV foe Panola College. The Bucs went down to the wire in a 83-81 victory. Terrah Austin and Bre'teka Mock each scored19 points.

Blinn Women's Basketball defeat Temple

The Blinn College Women's Basketball team defeated Temple College 72-64.They improve their record to 3-4 on the season.

Blinn Women's Basketball Fall to Hill College

The Blinn College Women's Basketball team fell at Hill College 60-65. The loss moves the Bucs to 2-4 on the season.

Blinn Women's Basketball defeat Snyder

In Snyder, Texas the Blinn College Women's Basketball team defeated Western Texas College 75-60. The win moves the Buccaneers to 2-3 overall on the season.

Blinn Women's Basketball Fall in OT

The Blinn College Women's Basketball team fell to Fort Scott Community College 85-88 in overtime. The Bucs move to 1-3 on the new season.

Blinn Women's Basketball Falls to Collin County

The Blinn College Women's Basketball team fell to Collin County 67-80. The Bucs fall to 1-2 overall.

Blinn Lady Bucs received NJCAA all-American recognition

Two members of the Blinn College women's basketball team have received National Junior College Athletic Association all-American recognition.

Guard Timila Martin, a 5-6 sophomore from Bryan, was named to the third team, and forward Alisha Williams, a 5-11 sophomore also from Bryan, received honorable mention honors.

Martin, who averaged 15.7 points and 4.1 assists this past season, was earlier named the Region 14 most valuable player. Her 486 points on the season was the fifth-most in Blinn team history.

Williams was named all-region and all-conference, averaging 12.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. She is 19th in all-time scoring with 396 points and 18th in all-time rebounding with 227.

Martin and Williams are two of 11 sophomores head coach Jeff Jenkins will have to replace from a team that finished 26-6, the most single- season wins in the program's history.

As a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, the Buccaneers compete in the Region XIV Athletic Conference and the Southwest Junior College Football Conference. The Buccaneers compete in football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball. Complementing the athletic teams are the Blinn Cheerleaders, the Buccaneer Treasures Dance Team and the Blinn College Marching Band. All athletic teams are located on the Brenham campus.
